Stacking the Shelves – 30/5/20

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality. Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you have added to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. As this is usually hosted on a Saturday and I have a few new additions to my shelves I thought it would be a perfect post for today.

I can be a bit of a cheapskate so none of the book below will be expensive if you are looking for books to review on a budget. I do plan to spend more money on books soon but I am only on a student budget.

Books

Vox – Christina Dalcher

This was very kindly bought for me from my wish list on Amazon. It sounded like such a unique story, I can’t wait to read it, even though I know that it has had mixed reviews. It is currently only £2 on Amazon for the paperback copy.

Never Tell – Lisa Gardner

I found this in a free book box in my village and couldn’t resist. I have hard great things about this author and this will be the first book of hers that I’ve read.

Ebooks

Although I am a huge advocate for physical copies of books there have been some great bargains recently on the Kindle Store. Summer gets me in a romance reading mood and I think that my purchases reflect this, oops.

The Bromance Book Club – Lyssa Kay Adams

I have heard amazing things about this book and everyone seems to recommend it. I couldn’t believe it when this was 99p on the Kindle Store. It is only a limited time offer and for 99p if you are considering it or it is on your wish list you can’t go wrong.

Addicted to You – Kristina and Becca Richie

I was looking through my wish list the other day and noticed that the ebook for this was free. I am not sure if it has always been free but I had seen people talking about it on Twitter and decided it was worth a try.

The Hating Game – Sally Thorne

This was another romance novel that I had seen nothing but glowing reviews for. I couldn’t believe my luck when this was also 99p on the Kindle Store and still is. Hate to love romance stories are my favourite so I can’t wait to read this one.

Library

Because the following books are from the library look out for these reviews coming soon as I only have them for a limited amount of time.

My Sister, the Serial Killer – Oyinkan Braithwaite

I posted recently that this was on my TBR list and some of you had mixed reviews about this one. I had placed a hold on this in the library and was happy to hear that yesterday it was finally my turn! This one seems like a different take on a murder novel and I can’t wait to see what I think of it.

The Giver of Stars – Jojo Moyes

I absolutely loved Me Before You so was very happy to see that this one was new to the library. I snapped it straight up and now 17 people are in the queue after me so I better hurry with this one!

These are my most recent finds/purchases, have you read any of them? Would you recommend any of these? Of course reviews will go up for these once I have finished them all.

Do you have a suggestion for the next book to add to my bookshelf? Let me know in comments.
