Welcome

I have started and restarted this post so many times.  I’m not really sure what you want to hear about me that will be relevant or interest so please bear with me.

I am a 21 year old law student who has suddenly found herself with a lot of time on her hands.  I have been an avid reader from a young age and could always be seen with a book in my hand.  At first the plan was to be a book editor but my English Literature AS-level, the important one, did not agree with me.  My career plans changed and moved me away from reading fiction towards case law and textbooks.  However, my love for reading has always remained, even if the time wasn’t always there.

After having to move back home early from my year abroad due to the coronavirus, I suddenly have a vast stretch of time for which my plans have been forced to be very limited.  I decided to start this blog with the intent to keep me busy during this uncertain time.  My plan is to review books on this page and hopefully encourage others to pick up a new book or maybe even a genre they have never tried before.  I have a full bookshelf and a lot of time, the perfect combination right?

I don’t intend to claim that I have sophisticated taste in books nor do I have an intelligent way to judge them.  But I will give an honest opinion and ultimately tell you whether or not I enjoyed it and whether or not the book is worth spending your hard earned money on.  At the moment the only books I have access to are the ones on my bookshelf, but once libraries are back open again I will also be scouring them for a good page-turner.  Please don’t hesitate to also suggest a book you think I may like.

Thank you for taking the time to read or even scan read this message, it really does mean a lot.
